Position: Cybersecurity Lead – AIMSS (Contingent Upon Contract Award)

Location: Huntsville, AL

Clearance:  Top Secret Clearance Eligible

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the operations of the AIMSS Cybersecurity Team in executing cybersecurity requirements for AIMSS activities.  Reports directly to AIMSS Deputy Program Manager and coordinates closely with AIMSS Chief Architect. 
  • Provide technical and administrative oversight and management of the Cybersecurity team
    • Provide administrative oversight and management to include interview conduction and team personnel selection, on-boarding support, timecard approvals, leave request approvals, privileged user account requests, and equipment and resource requests
    • Provide technical oversight and management of activities including: Risk Management Framework, software vulnerability scans and mitigation plans, cloud architecture compliance, coordination with MDA and other government agency cybersecurity personnel (AO and below), and other activities to ensure MDA systems stay secure and mission ready
  • Work with the MDA customer to capture functional and technical requirements and ensure final capabilities meet all DoD and MDA cybersecurity requirements
  • Select and oversee AIMSS ISSO’s, ensuring maintenance of proper certification and training
  • Evaluate and document cybersecurity violations, and develop and implement mitigation plans
  • Support a disciplined approach to cybersecurity activities using an agile approach, ensuring methodology aligns with industry and DoD/MDA standards and best practices
  • Effectively coordinate with scrum masters, Deputy Program Manager, Chief Architect and MDA customers regarding cybersecurity activities to control cost, schedule, communications, personnel, etc.
  • Coordinate with Chief Architect and Software Development, Data, and Cloud/System leads to ensure alignment of efforts, plans, and solutions
  • Ensure maximization of existing capabilities in order to minimize the risks and costs associated with new or custom tools
  • Support MDA or contract technical/engineering boards as required
  • Support cybersecurity audits, ensuring 100% readiness

 

 QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Cybersecurity preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience in cybersecurity field
  • Minimum 5 years leading a technical team
  • DoD experience required
  • Top Secret eligibility required
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity methods, risks, requirements, and documentation
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully lead and collaborate with team members. Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work as part of the team
  • Ability to interact with end users and translate business language into technical requirements
  • Familiar with DoDAF views (OV,SV,SrvcV)
  • Experience with cloud and on-premise environments and software
  • Critical thinking ability and a positive, innovative attitude required
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to look for root causes and implementable, workable solutions
  • MDA experience preferred

Relevant Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security +, required
  • Certification requirements in accordance with DoD Manual 8140
  • ITIL Foundation, preferred
