SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
The Trade Show Manager plays a vital role in driving the company's presence and success at trade shows, ensuring that each event is strategically planned, meticulously executed, and evaluated for its impact and effectiveness. This position requires a dynamic individual with a combination of strategic thinking, project management expertise, and strong leadership skills to deliver measurable results and drive continuous improvement in our trade show initiatives. One must have the ability and the opportunity to shape the narrative of our brand and engage audiences in meaningful ways at trade shows and private customer events. By leveraging your strategic competence, creative vision, and leadership acumen, you will drive the success of our event initiatives, elevating our brand presence and driving measurable business impact.
 
 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Partnership Development:
    • Forge strategic partnerships with trade show organizers and vendors to enhance our presence and maximize opportunities for engagement.
    • Lead negotiations with trade show organizers to secure favorable terms, floor position, and agreements for our company’s participation.
  • Event Design: Craft interactive and memorable experiences that showcase our brand, products, and services in alignment with our overarching marketing and sales strategies.
  • Project Execution: Oversee end-to-end project management of trade show participation, including planning, display and booth development, logistics, staffing, set-up, teardown, asset management, and on-site execution, to ensure flawless implementation. Attend all shows and manage operations on site.
  • Performance Measurement:
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of trade show initiatives, leveraging data insights to optimize future strategies.
    • Create and implement metrics to measure the success of trade show attendance, including ROI, lead generation, brand exposure, and customer engagement. 
    • Articulate the strategic importance of trade show participation and advocate for resources and support to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Budget Management: Develop yearly Budget for trade shows and customer events. Track and report performance to budget and rationalize variances.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product, to ensure alignment and synergy in trade show planning and execution.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event marketing to continuously elevate our trade show experiences and drive innovation.
  • Leadership and Accountability: Lead by example, demonstrating ownership, initiative, and accountability in all aspects of trade show management, inspiring and empowering team members to excel.
  • Perform other duties as related to the job function as required 
 
 
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in trade show management, with a track record of successful event planning and execution.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable contracts and partnerships.
  • Excellent project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong digital literacy, with the ability to leverage skills for research, analysis, presentation, and ideation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical mindset, with the capability to develop and implement performance metrics and evaluate ROI.
  • Leadership qualities, including initiative, accountability, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • The ability to travel up to 30% of the time, for up to a week at a time. Some weekend days may be required.
 
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
No Supervisory qualifications are required for this position.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
The ability to lift up to 40 pounds, to pack and unpack trade show assets.
 
SALARY
At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $85,729.00 and $128,594.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
