  • SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
    The IT System Administrator is accountable, under direct supervision, for performing a variety of technical and analytical tasks necessary to provide user support for related hardware and software.  Maintains close contact with all departments within the formation processing function to provide timely problem resolution.
     
    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
    • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
    • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
    • Create and verify data backups
    • Respond to and resolve help desk requests
    • Upgrade software and hardware as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
    • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, virus protection software, and other processes
    • Review application logs
    • Install and test computer-related software and equipment
    • Set up new user accounts and assist with password resets and account permissions
    • Perform other duties as related to the job function as required
     
    JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:
    • 3-5 years’ experience in system administration
    • Associate or higher degree in a related field
    • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and network protocols
    • Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues
    • Experience with VMware
    • Experience with MS Office and Teams
    • Experience in a Google Workspace environment a plus
    • Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis
     
    SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
    No Supervisory qualifications are required for this position.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
     
    SALARY
    At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $78,178.00 and $117,267.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
