SUMMARY

The Assistant Tax Manager is responsible to prepare and review quarterly/annual tax returns to ensure compliance by managing the overall tax preparation function.         

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Tax Return Preparation - Review federal and multi-state income tax returns
  2. Prepare Estimated Taxes and Extensions
  3. Income Tax Provision Preparation - Prepare quarterly income tax provision
  4. Compliance - Manage income tax compliance and reporting in multiple states
  5. Research & Analysis - Conduct research and analysis for tax planning and strategies

 

SECONDARY TASKS – Following are responsibilities that are required occasionally. 

  1. Team Support - Assist Director Corporate Tax with projects as assigned
  2. Other - Perform other duties as related to the job function as required

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

  1. 4 Year Degree, Business Management, Accounting
  2. 4- 7 Years experience in tax experience
  3. Excellent knowledge of IRS rules and regulations
  4. Tax Research experience
  5. Proficient use of Tax Software
  6. Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, AS400 and One Source Tax software preferred
  7. Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
