Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager (Demos and Launches)

Location: Remote, USA

The Principal Product Marketing Manager is responsible for product marketing activities designed to increase sales growth and expand market share. These include go-to-market planning and execution; product launch, release planning and execution; internal and external communications, including product education and industry-related thought leadership; integrated campaign planning, content development, and execution; and sales team enablement to support the buyer journey. This position requires close interaction with all business units across the corporation. The Principal Product Marketing Manager monitors and evaluates customer understanding, adoption, and usage of inContact solutions to develop marketing programs that improve customer satisfaction and upsell.

Major Functions/Responsibility

  • Maintain overall responsibility for product marketing, including Go To Market strategy and planning for assigned product suite(s)
  • Define product communications strategy to ensure customer understanding and satisfaction
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and other marketing and sales assets for assigned product suite(s)
  • Monitor and analyze customer needs and technology trends 
  • Monitor and communicate competitor activities including pricing, marketing strategies and product direction
  • Analyze and provide input regarding product, pricing, packaging and promotional strategies
  • Collaborate across Marketing teams to drive demand and increase sales pipeline
  • Drive key analyst relations activities in order to advance competitive market positioning
  • Deliver thought-leading content in various media; and provide guidance, direction, and best practices for inContact product representation at industry events and conferences
  • Work closely with Product Management colleagues to understand product roadmap, features, and functionality in order to communicate clear and concise use cases for our customers
  • Work with R&D and Product Development teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features
  • Own and drive all marketing-related product launch and software release activities to ensure internal readiness (Marketing, Sales, Services, Support) and customer understanding
  • Develop programs to increase customer awareness, adoption, and usage of inContact products
  • Define buyer personas, determine market messages, and produce content for each stage of the buyer journey
  • Create and maintain product toolkit for sales team and internal business units, ensuring the relevance and accuracy of all published materials 
  • Work with sales leadership to develop tools which support corporate sales philosophy and alignment with proven buying processes
  • Support and strengthen Partner and Channel relationships, education, and communications
  • Serve as an inContact brand ambassador; educate and reinforce the correct usage of product naming conventions and brand standards
  • Work across the organization to drive process improvements, manage bottlenecks, anticipate and proactively manage escalations, determine and quantify business need versus team constraints while ensuring great customer experience

Required Education, Experience, and Specific Job Related Skills

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) required

Experience Requirement:
  • 10+ years of experience in contact center software product marketing 
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and a proven track record of launching and growing leading industry products, services, and/or programs
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in marketing a SaaS solutions
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills and effective presentation capabilities
  • Ability to work cross functionally with peer group and executive leadership in order to achieve goals 
  • Excellent influencing and consensus-building skills

Experience Preferred:
  • Expertise in positioning, packaging and sales enablement
  • Experience in contact center market or related industry
