About the product
Nice Sales Performance Management is a product designed to manage the performance and variable pay of Sales teams or external partners. To many of our customers this is a mission critical application responsible for paying tens of thousands of people. The application is highly scalable, capable of performing complex calculations on 100s of millions of transactions. The R&D team has recently embarked on developing new capabilities which are rapidly gaining traction in the market, leading to plans to expand the team. The product is available on premise and as hosted deployments.
•Lead several scrum teams (overall 10+ engineers) developing core platform capabilities. Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, Operations and Customer Success.
•Full responsibility over the entire development life cycle of the product.
•End to end responsibility for design implementation and quality.
•Create and maintain positive and productive working relationships across teams.
•Educate and support the development teams helping them to resolve complex issues in challenging project timelines.
•Facilitate and support team members’ technical and career growth objectives through training, leadership opportunities, challenging work assignments, and focused mentorship.
•Be the technical focal point for the team members.
•B.Sc. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
•10+ years of industry R&D experience, with at least 3 leading/managing a high performing team (10+ engineers) in a software product development environment
•Extensive hands-on experience with Java– must
•Experience with iterative or Agile methodologies and techniques.
•Experience as a Scrum Master in complex and large projects.
•Proven ability to manage diverse simultaneous projects of varying complexities.
•Master the development life cycle – from planning to design, implementation, testing, deployment and be involved and impact all these phases.
•Record of achieving objectives; successful project completion, within budget and time frame.
•Demonstrated peripheral vision, designing for specific needs, but with wider applications in mind.
•Good quality control, application security and governance practices.
•Outstanding technical and project management skills, risk management decision making, own the test strategy and test matrix.
•Mentor and support the career development / personal growth of your direct reports.
•Great communication skills. Track record of building positive and productive cross-group collaboration and partner relationships, share resources and ownership.
•Strong passion to build simple and practical solutions for IT Enterprise scale customers.
•Be agile, adapt quickly to the fast-pacing environment the group is working in, while not losing view of the big picture.
•Strong design and coding skills. Ability to drive product decisions, solve tough problems, and organize multiple concurrent projects.
•Experience designing and developing enterprise-grade software products that can perform at high scales and integrate with other components.
•Great personal skills, ability to influence others and cooperate with peers.
•Excellent level of English (verbal & written), and experience communicating in a global organization
•Experience managing cross-site teams or off-shore engineers – big advantage.
•Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Sprint Boot, Hibernate, Maven, Angular, etc. – big advantage.
•Knowledge and experience with running container-based (Docker) microservices on Linux – advantage.
•SAAS and Cloud operation experience – big advantage.
•Knowledge & experience with public cloud providers like AWS – advantage.
•AWS Architecture experience – advantage.
•Great initiative; proven ability to tackle projects with a can-do attitude.
