 Role description

NICE WCX R&D Unit is looking for a professional and mature Director of Operations. The Director will Manage several professional teams and will lead initiatives and activities to improve efficiency, quality, and velocity. The Director of Operations will be a member of the R&D Management and will drive operations excellence and execution of WCX strategy. The Director will work across teams and will collaborate with R&D managers, product managers, and professional services leaders to build, align and implement methodologies, tools, and measures.

 Main responsibilities

  • Manage a global team of experts, located in Israel, India, US, and Europe. Lead and mentor the managers of these teams and be accountable for their results. Including:
    • Product design: the team is responsible for UX and UI design, usability research, and usability testing of all portfolio products
    • Documentation: the team is responsible for users and technical documentation
    • Business operation: the team is responsible for ALM and security best practices and tools implementation, KPIs definition, tracking and analysis, cost optimization, and workplans coordination
    • Integration labs: the team is responsible for testing and integration between different products in our portfolio
  • Plan the R&D budget and ensure cost efficiency and proper utilization. Work closely with R&D leaders, finance, and procurement to track the budget and manage the expenses
  • Coordinate training and certifications in collaboration with HR and with the Chief Architect
  • Elevate and strengthen the engineering DNA and branding of the unit, with focus on Innovation, Quality, and professional pride
  • Lead cross Business Unit initiatives as derived from the strategic plan

  Qualifications:

 Required – professional:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, management, industrial engineering, or similar
  • 7+ years experience in SW multi-product companies, practicing at least one of the following: 
  • R&D Mgmt
  • Product Mgmt
  • Strategy execution
  • Customer success
  • PMO
  • 3+ years in managing a team of professionals
  • Proven experience working in a global, cross-cultural, multi-national corporation, with R&D in multi-locations
  • Ability to build, train, mentor, and motivate direct and indirect reports with diverse skillsets
  • Experience in remote management
  • High impact leader with strong leadership skills to influence and drive initiatives
  • Project management skills with the ability to multitask in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required
  • Ability to present ideas and directions to experience both business-focused and technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Expert in leading change
