Mid-Senior QA Engineer – Platform Engineering

Are you looking to have an impact in large, enterprise, distributed software environments?  NICE is looking for a seasoned QA Engineer to join our NIA Platform Product Team focusing on backend dataflow.  This role will help to ensure quality and timely delivery of our enterprise-grade product.

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

You will join our agile Platform Engineering Team within the NIA Platform Group working alongside experienced software engineers.    Your specific focus will center on qualifying user stories and defects around our product’s primary dataflow engine.  You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans and test cases with an emphasis on manual testing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

         You are the gatekeeper for quality for our platform engineering agile team

         You will become an expert in the NIA Dataflow Engine

         You have a passion for creating and executing test plans

         You analyze and communicate test results

         You will contribute to the automation library and framework as opportunity allows

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

         3-10 years of experience in Software Testing

         Experience with SQL, particularly around queries for data validation

         Experience writing destructive tests

         Experience with large, distributed systems

         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

         Excellent problem-solving skills

         Strong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

         Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies

         Experience in Microsoft Technologies

         Knowledge of common automation tools and methodologies, such as Selenium

         Knowledge of performance and scalability test approaches and automation a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
