About the Role

The Sr Director of Corporate Development is an experienced business leader with a proven expertise in corporate development. This important role will help drive NextNav’s rollout of its advanced resilient position, navigation and timing (PNT) solutions, and determine the best path forward in terms of market focus, go-to-market, pricing strategy, and alliances. Reporting to the VP of business development, the Sr Director of Corporate Development will work with the entire organization (including senior management, finance and product management) to define the appropriate strategies for NextNav. This position will be based in the US, preferably out of our Sunnyvale office.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze critical infrastructure market segments (telecommunications, electrical grid), and identify suitable market areas for NextNav
  • Work with market research to estimate total market size (TAM, SAM), and key players in the value chain
  • Assess competitive landscape, and define best go-to-market approach for NextNav
  • Define best business model approaches for NextNav
  • Establish pricing strategy allowing to capture maximum value for NextNav
  • Work with business development team to establish partnership strategy enabling success in the identified market segments
  • Understanding of the strategy and marketing needed to sell the product.  Deep knowledge of the PNT technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or business or a related field; an MBA is a plus
  • Deep expertise in the field of PNT, with direct experience working in PNT companies (in an engineering or business capacity)
  • Expertise in business modeling of segments such as telecommunication
  • Working with Wireless Carriers would be a plus
  • 15+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or partnership relations
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in defining corporate strategies
  • Excellent analytical, business and communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations for both internal and external audiences
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
