The Web Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing day-to-day operations of nexcess.net, associated digital properties and creative process for the brand. This strategic leader will partner with design and dev resources and stakeholders to optimize this critical digital channel with key goals of driving SEO rank, qualified leads, conversion rate optimization and transaction (revenue)  growth for the business. This leader will also provide creative direction for the brand and manage a team of designers that provide creative assets for the company.   

The ideal candidate is experienced in working with enterprise websites, understands technical SEO and web analytics, and takes a process-driven approach to web production.  

This is a permanently remote position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing review and enhancement of website through content management and design; ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with overall business and marketing strategies, while adhering to ADA and security requirements.
  • Own website reporting and develop a framework for measuring web vitals, engagement and conversion rates.  
  • Identify and drive strategic areas of improvement for Web Vitals and work with internal ops teams & others to drive improvements. 
  • Own technical SEO & partner closely with our content team and agency to manage organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on site impressions, clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions.  identifying and executing opportunities to improve Nexcess search rank for key terms.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of website experiences and identify unique opportunities to leverage content, creative, and technology to drive or influence conversion rate.  Leverages analytics, market research and usability testing to create and continuously enhance ongoing content and design strategy.
  • Partner with CRO specialist on a conversion rate optimization strategy (CRO) to convert more visitors to customers through strategy, implementation, testing and reporting
  • Lead design team and drive creative approach.   Collaborate with marketing, sales, and dev teams for creative deliverables, ensuring quality, aesthetics, technical specs, timeliness, message and visual alignment, etc.  Ensure continuity of themes, design layout, etc.  
  • Manage navigation and overall information architecture in order to improve the online experience for users, proactively identify, prioritize, and drive opportunities for ongoing process improvement
  • Respond to and troubleshoot website issues quickly
  • Maintaining change management logs and pre-post change assessments Identify reporting & analytics gaps. 
  • Ensuring full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain web SOPs and training documentations
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites
  • Communicate and enforce the Web Standards of our digital assets, including but not limited to; Style Guides, Accessibility requirements, UX and established Design standards

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of website management experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to think and work strategically, while also driving rapid execution
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly understand complex issues and generate innovative solutions to solve for them
  • Comfortable collaborating and communicating with peers and leadership across the company 
  • The ability to thrive in a matrixed environment
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to support and enforce a content strategy based on requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of WordPress
  • Thorough understanding of User Experience and Information Architecture
  • Ability to leverage analytics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), market research and usability testing to create and continuously enhance web content and design strategy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to present to stakeholders with confidence
  • Ability to demonstrate strong project management and leadership capabilities while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work with multiple people under competing deadlines and can change direction quickly, while maintaining excellent communication and attention to detail necessary for project success
  • Ability to work within corporate environments/cultures with numerous stakeholders (including all levels of management, Legal, Information Security, Privacy, and Information Technology)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hosting or associated technology
