Corporate & Event Development Associate
New York Public Radio, a premier public media organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Associate, Corporate and Event Development to join its fundraising development team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate and Event Development, this role will provide critical operational and administrative support to ensure the success of NYPR’s corporate partnerships and special events, including the annual gala. The Associate will contribute to the team’s efforts to enhance donor relationships, grow revenue, and amplify NYPR’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the VP of Corporate and Event Development and the broader team.
- Coordinate scheduling, meeting preparation, and follow-up for corporate and event-related activities.
- Prepare and organize materials for donor and sponsor meetings, events, and presentations.
Corporate Philanthropy Assistance
- Assist in identifying, researching, and cultivating prospective corporate donors and sponsors.
- Support the creation of sponsorship proposals, donor acknowledgment letters, and impact reports.
- Maintain up-to-date records of corporate relationships and activities in the donor database.
Special Event Coordination
- Help with planning and logistics for fundraising and cultivation events, including the annual gala.
- Coordinate event-related tasks such as vendor outreach, guest list management, and tracking RSVPs.
- Assist with on-site event execution, including managing check-in, supporting event staff, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Work with the team to support and grow a new peer-to-peer fundraising program.
Data and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of event attendance, sponsorships, and donations.
- Generate reports on event performance and corporate giving metrics to inform strategy and planning.
- Ensure compliance with donor recognition and acknowledgment protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit development, event planning, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and collaborative demeanor.
- Experience with donor databases, Salesforce a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time role with a salary range of $58,000-63,000, annually (plus a full benefits package). Salary offered within this range is determined by skills, experience and organizational pay equity. New York Public Radio also offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with vacation time, personal days, sick time and parental leave.

This role is based in New York City (or the immediate metro area) and operates in a hybrid capacity. This individual is expected to work onsite at WNYC’s Manhattan headquarters at least 3 days a week.
