Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Membership, the Senior Manager, Digital Membership assists in the strategic planning and execution of fundraising campaigns to support New York Public Radio’ Digital Membership program which includes Radiolab, On the Media, Gothamist, and other podcasts. The Senior Manager, Digital Membership is part of the larger Membership team, and provides support for WNYC and WQXR radio pledge drives and fundraising campaigns, in close collaboration with the Radio Fundraising team. This person will also support New York Public Radio’s email lead generation activities across the organization, with the goal of growing NYPR’s digital membership base.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Senior Director, Digital Membership to lead the planning of digital membership campaigns for Radiolab, On the Media, Gothamist, and other podcasts, taking a leading role in coordination and implementation of these campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Assist with planning and lead execution of members-only events for Radiolab and other digital properties.
- Collaborate with Newsroom and content teams to ensure presence and timeliness of membership messaging in digital channels, including websites, email newsletters, social media, and more.
- Drive ongoing A/B testing and optimization of fundraising campaigns across digital channels, including email, donation forms, on-site assets, and more, to drive continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage production, deployment, and analysis of performance of email campaigns and automated journeys to drive engagement and revenue for digital membership programs.
- Support engagement campaigns to enable the capture and storage of contact information to be used for marketing and fundraising solicitation purposes.
- Deploy and update donation pages in the Springboard donation platform, keeping content timely and ensuring that all components of donation pages (form components, confirmation emails, confirmation pages, etc.) are up-to-date.
- Assist in the development and execution of digital advertising strategies to drive engagement and membership.
- In collaboration with the Radio Fundraising team, support WNYC & WQXR pledge drive campaigns as needed, including but not limited to digital components (donation pages, on-site messaging, app messaging, and newsletters), and lead post-drive reporting on digital fundraising efforts.
- Stay current on digital fundraising and industry trends to help inform digital fundraising strategy.
- Take on special projects as needed, including but not limited to developing presentations relating to digital membership.
- Act as a back-up to the Senior Manager, Radio Fundraising and Email Marketing Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in digital or non-profit fundraising, marketing, or related fields, with a track record of achieving revenue goals.
- Proven track record in executing multi-channel digital campaigns, including email, social media, website optimization, and paid media.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder. Knowledge of Supporting Casts and Springboard a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and a keen attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with a history of working across teams to drive results.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
