As the Software Engineering Manager for the Auth & Secrets Team, you’ll support developers on a mission to support frictionless, easy to use secrets management and authentication, group and user management for New Relic’s own services. The work you'll be doing with this team will automate these capabilities to enable New Relic’s product teams to focus on delivering products and features for our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of high-performance software engineers who enable seamless and secure access to systems and services for our internal product teams
  • Ensure the team has the context, vision, skills and tools they need to ship the right software
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment where everyone will thrive and grow
  • Grow the team with career planning and advancement opportunities
  • Plan and execute software development projects within and across teams
  • Experiment and iterate on team processes to balance agility and predictability
  • Partner with product management to influence team priorities and roadmap
  • Collaborate across business functions to shape the solutions we bring to market

Your Qualifications


  • 3+ years experience managing high-performing software engineering or site reliability engineering teams
  • A track record of delivering high-quality software in regular, iterative releases
  • Ability to collaborate within your own and across teams and departments
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members


  • Deep familiarity with contemporary people management methods
  • Experience leading teams through changes in focus and into new markets
  • Experience shipping SaaS software
  • Experience with Ldap, Active directory and secrets management tools like Hashicorp Vault
  • Experience with AWS
