Your Opportunity

As a Senior Manager for UX Research at New Relic, you will manage a team of five researchers, helping them capitalize on their strengths and develop new ones so that they can drive innovation and make the user experience second to none.

You will partner closely with other leaders in our Product organization to ensure that researchers engage on projects where they are likely to have the greatest impact. You'll ensure that teams use research in the right places at the proper times and that it influences decisions.

Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on applicant location.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach entry-level researchers to grow their confidence and independence
  • Remove obstacles that keep senior researchers from having an impact
  • Educate teams throughout the Product organization about research and how to use it effectively
  • Plan and lead critical initiatives that demonstrate innovative uses of data to improve the user experience

Your Qualifications

Must-have:

  • 2+ years experience managing teams of at least three people
  • Experience conducting qualitative research
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methodologies (e.g., survey sampling and design, significance testing, regression modeling, experimental design, behavioral data analysis, causal inference with observable data)
  • Experience with lean and guerrilla research methods
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally, inspiring people with research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Qualtrics and Amplitude
  • Experience managing research operations
  • Experience with design methodologies like service design and design thinking
  • Workshop facilitation experience
