New Pig Corporation, a leader in providing environmental and safety solutions for companies throughout the world, is seeking a smart, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person to join our award-winning product development team. The associate in this role will be a valuable go-to resource to perform testing, analysis and reporting on critical characteristics of products and materials used in the creation of new offerings. The position will also assist in the sourcing and development of new products. This role includes a high percentage of hands-on work in addition to planning and reporting. This position is based in Altoona, PA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and manage testing on new materials, competitive products and New Pig products
  • Analysis of data, developing a conclusion of findings, and communication via professional reports
  • Using power tools to fabricate test fixtures and prototypes
  • Hands-on work with large variety of materials and product types
  • Assist product team in developing new products and packaging
  • Collaborate with team members on suggested technical approach for projects
  • Liaison to manufacturing for new product quotations, prototyping, test trials and initial production runs
  • Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • All other duties as assigned or directed

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mathematical skills (calculations, analysis, spreadsheets)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Can-do, positive attitude
