Maintenance Technician / Team Lead
Duncansville and Altoona facilities
Daylight shift. 7am-330pm. Occasional weekend work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Production Maintenance
- Integrate with other maintenance professionals in support of multi-shift production operation to achieve output, quality and financial performance goals and objectives
- Assist managing maintenance operations via a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Establish and perform routine maintenance on production equipment, and perform repair on them when necessary
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls
- Installation of power distribution – sub panels, conduit, wiring, etc.
- Troubleshoot and maintain complex machine control systems including drives, relays, machine network, and PLC systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems such as motors, gearboxes, and other power transmission systems
- Develop and maintain critical spare parts inventory
- Support Manufacturing Engineering by fabricating, debugging and installing custom-designed equipment via the use of machining centers (lathes, CNC), plasma cutting, welding and other equipment
- Ensure machine uptimes and process capabilities will meet quality and production schedules
- Aid in the development of, and maintain, maintenance training programs
- Lean Manufacturing – Facilitate and support the deployment of lean manufacturing techniques on all projects in support of lean culture and elimination of 8 wastes
General
- Demonstrate a “Safety First” approach to all projects and day-to-day activities

- Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 5 years progressive responsible job-related experience
- Experience with reading design drawings for the purpose of fabrication
- Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and industrial power systems
- MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to seek out and achieve position related trainings and/or certifications
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited daily supervision
- Familiarity with various hand and maintenance shop tools – micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.
- Ability to read CAD drawings – mechanical / electrical
- Ability to perform basic mathematics and fractions
- Availability for occasional weekend work
