Job Overview:   
The Warehouse Shipping Supervisor will be detail-oriented and have leadership experience. The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for leading all aspects of warehouse operations. This includes maintaining shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in assuring orders are shipped within their scheduled time. The position schedule is 3rd shift, Wednesday - Friday, 6:00pm - 6:30am.  
  
Responsibilities and Duties:  
  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of shipping and personnel.
  • Frequently inspect equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure readiness, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Assumes team member responsibilities to cover absences. Responsible for developing necessary skills to maintain continuity of effort and shipping requirements during these periods.
  • Performs all computer transactions to support shipping activity to include audit logs to maintain accuracy.
  • Responsible for initiating corrective actions.
  • Enforce all company safety standards.
  • Direct liaison with Sales staff to coordinate and execute all customer packaging and shipping criteria when necessary.
  • Enforce Warehouse security including physical building security, inventory movement (inbound and outbound) by any of the staff, and documentation security (chain or custody).
  • Able to operate various pieces of machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:  
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role managing employees
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs individually and frequently, and up to 100lbs during team lifts.
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and leadership qualities
  • Purchasing, vendor, and supply chain management (SCM) experience
  • Other warehouse leadership experience
