About the opportunity:
We are seeking a driven, innovative, and energetic demand generation leader to lead our high velocity, high volume small and medium law firm segment which will require transactional and digital marketing expertise (paid and organic), along with a talent for empowering and leveraging a high performing team (includes internal and external resources). This leader must also have an ability to get things done with efficiency and urgency in partnership with key business partners such as sales and product marketing.
The SML Demand Generation leader is a marketing leader, responsible for the scalable, predictable, and repeatable process of creating sales pipeline and bookings by guiding appropriate prospects all the way through the funnel, from potential prospect to delighted customer. You will oversee all aspects of demand generation to achieve revenue goals that support the company’s fast-paced growth. The responsibilities of the role include strategy development, program execution, resource management, process optimization, metrics review and accountability.
This position requires an individual who is able to run demand analytics, produce insights and drive plan and execution adjustments to maximize ROI and ensure marketing and business goals are met. The candidate must have a firm grasp of digital marketing best practices – yet have an innate curiosity to continually investigate new trends and disruptive approaches that may improve the company’s acquisition portfolio. The ideal candidate would also be a skilled project and resource manager and embrace a hands-on, teaming approach. What your contributions will be:
- Develop and grow a high performing, metrics-driven, new logo acquisition and cross-selling engine for our small and medium law firm segment made up of campaign management, digital marketing, partner marketing and marketing operations
- Lead strategic development and tactical execution of multi-channel direct and channel acquisition campaigns including but not limited to search, display, email, social, direct mail, events, content syndication, sales plays, promotions, SEO, and sales enablement (tools and training to ensure highest conversion to won deals)
- Meet and exceed pipeline development and bookings goals driven by marketing demand generation, while clearly measuring the enablement of all channels of demand generation such as Account Executives, Business Development Reps and Partners
- Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline and bookings. With an ability to summarize findings and turn your analysis into actionable insights you can communicate effectively to garner buy-in, and incremental funding as needed
- Continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of campaigns, adjusting demand tactics, and strategy accordingly
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Creative Services to define go-to-market strategies, buyer personas, value proposition, messaging, demand and promotion strategies, website and gating strategies and content needs
- Ensure a highly productive relationship with Sales, driving strong alignment on targets, spend allocation and campaign strategy as well as win rate objectives
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of end-user purchasing behavior and industry trends to ensure effective implementation of marketing programs
- Optimize targeting, creative, media and budget allocation to maximize meeting and exceeding targets with at or above industry ROI benchmarks
- Assess new trends and drive continual improvement of new logo and cross-sell acquisition
What you will bring to the team:
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing marketing campaigns to reach pipeline and bookings goals cost effectively with clear ROI focused metrics and outcomes.
- Expert in B2B digital marketing, marketing automation, lead conversion, nurturing programs, and marketing analytics
- Big picture thinker with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven experience building and scaling demand generation programs for the small and medium account size of the legal or similar industry through technology, data, and process
- Strong analytical skills and metrics-based decision making
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM systems (Marketo and Salesforce experience a plus)
- Undergraduate degree required; an MBA is a plus
- Authority in B2B demand generation with 10+ years of experience in marketing in fast-paced, high growth Software as a Service (SaaS) technology companies, with a concentration of focus in generating demand in the SMB spaces of a market
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a field, demand gen, digital or campaign marketing role in a B2B organization

- Prior experience in the Legal market, at a SaaS company or at a law firm not required but viewed as a plus

Ideally you will have:
- High level experience with Excel, Tableau and Power BI
