Your opportunity for impact:

NetDocuments is seeking an experienced Prompt Engineer specializing in Document Automation to provide effective and innovative solutions within a presales environment. The role focuses on developing custom applications and workflows using the NetDocuments PatternBuilder and PatternBuilder MAX (AI) platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of legal document workflows and will collaborate with legal teams to build document automation solutions that address specific client needs. A strong interest in AI prompting is heavily desired.

 

What your contributions will be:

  • Develop and Implement Custom Apps: Utilize NetDocuments no-code/low-code PatternBuilder and PatternBuilder MAX to create document automation and workflow solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Legal Teams: Work closely with the NetDocuments Solutions Expert Team and stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions that improve efficiency, with a focus on creating compelling demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that accelerate sales cycles and increase deal closure rates.
  • Prompt Design & Iteration: Develop and refine AI prompts for tasks such as text generation, data extraction, and creative writing.
  • Analyze and Iterate on Prompts: Review performance metrics and user feedback to refine prompts and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Experiments & Research: Conduct experiments to test new prompting techniques and optimize existing workflows to improve performance.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you bring to the team:  

  • Experience in legal document automation (3+ years) and expertise in automation platforms such as PatternBuilder, HotDocs, or similar tools.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in no-code/low-code platforms, designing dynamic document templates, workflows, and logic formulas.
  • Legal knowledge: Familiarity with common legal documents and industry compliance requirements.
  • Analytical mindset: Strong problem-solving ability to identify areas for improvement through automation.
  • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in document creation and workflow automation.
  • Collaboration and communication skills: Ability to work effectively with legal professionals and non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Project management: Capacity to handle multiple projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Familiarity with AI prompting and a keen interest in developing AI-driven solutions coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and prompt engineering technologies.

 

Ideally you will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in legal document automation or a related field.
  • Proficiency with document automation tools such as PatternBuilder, HotDocs, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of legal workflows and compliance requirements within the legal industry.
  • Ability to collaborate with legal teams and non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Experience with AI technologies and prompting is highly desired though not required – Moreso, a willingness to learn and apply AI in innovative ways.

Compensation Transparency

The compensation range for this position is: $120,000 - $130,000

 

The posted cash compensation for this position includes on target earnings. Some roles may qualify for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are determined based on various factors specific to each candidate, such as career level, skills, experience, geographic location, qualifications, and other job-related considerations
