About the opportunity:

NetDocuments is seeking a Sr Software Test Engineer to demonstrate expert level skills in test automation tools and strategies as well as a deep and broad understanding of the process of building and deploying software in both cloud and desktop environments. You will use your skills to drive our automated test strategy throughout the testing organization. The Sr Software Test Engineer will report to the Director of Quality Assurance.  The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended.

What your contributions will be:

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools and frameworks that will improve the overall effectiveness of our testing infrastructure
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes, technologies, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams and reduce technical debt
  • Lead out in quality related work, train, and mentor team members
  • Own the testing automation strategy, test data management strategy, and test automation for entire testing organization
  • Maintain existing test automation frameworks for all applications that automation currently supports
  • Write, debug, and execute code used in both API and UI automated testing efforts
  • Define, implement, and manage processes and “best practices” regarding automated testing
  • Provide metrics on business process and code coverage for automated test suites
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you will bring to the team:

  • Attention to detail
  • A strong testing mindset
  • Expertise in all types of testing practices and methodologies
  • Expertise in automated testing frameworks including Selenium
  • Expertise in coding in C#
  • Expertise working in Micro services architecture and testing restful API’s
  • Expertise with software test tools and processes
  • Expertise in building testing frameworks for cloud-based consumer-facing applications and databases
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies

 

What you will need for success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • 8+ years of working experience in a quality assurance and test automaton position

 

Ideally you will have:

  • Deep experience automating both APIs and UI tests
