About the opportunity:

As Staff Accountant, you will be a key team member in the finance department ensuring accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The position is located in Lehi, Utah and will be hybrid in office (2 days) and home office (3 days).

 

What your contributions will be:

  • Areas of focus will include bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, payment processing and applications, fixed asset accounting, prepaid expenses, debt accounting, and compliance reporting.
  • Support timely monthly financial close, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and maintenance of accounts.
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of external audits.
  • Provide recommendations to improve existing processes and systems including system implementations.
  • Work closely with Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller on various special projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals.
  • Other accounting related tasks as assigned

 

What you will bring to the team: 

  • Strong commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively as a supportive team member.
  • Self-directed and work independently.
  • Strong problem solver and proven ability to find solutions.

 

What you will need for success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 6 months + of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, finance principles, and financial reporting.


Ideally you will have:

  • 1+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience in the software industry
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Active CPA license or pursuing the CPA
