Description of the role
The Strategic Design Architect will develop and oversee the experience strategy across all touch-points of a solution. This role involves the ability to conduct and lead Product Discovery phases, analyzing data to identify user needs, and creating holistic strategies that improve usability, customer satisfaction and performance. They will work closely with Product Managers, Growth Marketing Leads, Designers, and Engineering Leads to apply modern design principles in a nuanced and thoughtful way to help execute a product vision which aligns with broader business objectives. The candidate will be responsible for bridging business strategy with design execution, ensuring that user insights translate into impactful experiences and measurable outcomes.
Experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience working with various Innovation and Design strategies, ensuring alignment with customer needs & business objectives
- Extensive experience in UX research, strategy, product discovery and service design.
- Experience in driving innovation initiatives within large organizations.
- Experience in planning and conducting collaborative workshops and user research activities to help shaping and defining consumer-facing experiences
Skills
- Strong understanding of modern design principles and methodologies.
- Ability to create high quality artefacts around Product Discovery and Experience Design.
- Strong proficiency in conducting qualitative and quantitative research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Strong understanding and evidence of intelligent and ethical use of AI tools.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement UX strategies.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to synthesize research findings into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities to convey complex insights.
- Strong understanding of business goals and how they align with user needs.
- Ability to translate Product and business goals into requirements for Product design.
- Sufficient technical understanding to make design decisions informed by technical feasibility.
- Familiarity with common front-end frameworks such as React and NextJS.
Tools experience:
- Design and prototyping tools like Figma.
- User research tools like UserZoom, Optimal Workshop, or Dovetail.
- Collaboration tools like Smaply, Miro, or Lucidchart.
- Data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Data Studio
- Presentation tools like Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Code Editors such as Cursor or VSCode
