Requirements and responsibilities
What you’ll do
- Manage and deploy Windows Domain and Active Directory environment;
- Deploy Servers with Windows Server 2019;
- Set up and maintain server system and file security;
- Manage Lab and Production Infrastructure;
- Deploy, Configure and Maintain Physical Storage (SAN);
- Monitor and optimize performance of servers;
- Manage Virtualization Environment;
- Maintain documentation of Environment and Processes;
- Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems and RMA parts as needed;
- Manage and deploy Linux server installations;
- Deploy and Manage Public Cloud Compute and Storage;
- Deploy and Manage Enterprise Grade Physical Compute;
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience required;
- Management of VMware and Public Cloud Environments;
- Microsoft server related certification (MCSA);
- 2+ years working in a Server 2012 R2 or Server 2019 server environment;
- Experience managing and deploying Windows domains, Active Directory and DNS;
- 2+ years managing and deploying virtual environments;
- 2+ years managing and deploying Windows 2019 servers;
- 2+ years installing/configuring physical server hardware and OS;
- Experience successfully working under time constraints and deadlines;
- Experience working within a team of IT professionals; taking and following direction and completing tasks and assignments in a timely manner with a positive attitude;
- Experience working with Change Management.
Bonus Experience:
- Configuration and management of HP or Cisco server hardware;
- Systems Engineer Related Certifications (e.g. MCSE or Public Cloud);
- Comfortable working with changing timelines and deadlines;
- Experience working in large, global environments;
- Experience working in fast-paced production environments;
- Management of VMware environments;
- Management of AWS environments;
- SAN deployment and administration;
- Unix or Linux administration;
- Deploying servers and applications using Chef;
- Experience working with config management or infrastructure automation.
