Position Overview
--
We are seeking an experienced "Cloud Data Architect" to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using modern cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will architect robust data systems leveraging cloud-native platforms while ensuring optimal data modeling and pipeline efficiency.

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Do:

--

  • Data Architecture Design: Develop scalable and efficient data architecture solutions using modern platforms like cloud-based systems and big data technologies (Databricks, Snowflake etc)
  • Develop logical and physical data models for structured and semi-structured data
  • Design and implement automated data pipelines for efficient data processing
  • Optimize data storage and query performance in cloud environments
  • Establish role-based access controls (RBAC) and security protocols for cloud data systems
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern data platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ETL/ELT processes

Base Skills (Must Have)

--

  • 10 to 15 years in data architecture design and implementation with 3+ years cloud-focused experience
  • Expertise in cloud-native data warehousing and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake)
  • Hands on on any Relational Databases out of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, Vertica etc)
  • Proficiency and hands-on in SQL optimization and data processing languages (e.g., Python or Java or Scala)
  • Have at least worked on 1 large scale Data Platform Modernization and consolidation or Migration of data applications to Cloud project
  • Have at least worked on 1 Big Data implementation using Apache Spark
  • Worked on NoSQL DB and cloud Databases like Redshift, Cassandra, ClickHouse, AeroSpike
Strong understanding of:
- Data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Data pipeline architecture (batch and stream processing)
- Data governance frameworks and best practices
- DevOps processes

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)

  • Relevant cloud data platform certifications
    Experience with data mesh or data fabric architectures
    Knowledge of machine learning integration patterns in cloud platforms
  • This role requires strategic thinking to align data infrastructure with business objectives while maintaining hands-on technical capabilities for solution implementation. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in modern cloud data platforms combined with a deep understanding of data modeling principles and pipeline optimization techniques.
