Position Overview:
Ness Digital Engineering is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Test Architect to join our dynamic team. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience in test automation, with a proven track record of providing tailored solutions to complex client challenges. With a strong focus on e-commerce domain, this role requires hands-on expertise in open-source test automation frameworks, especially Selenium using Python bindings, and a deep understanding of test design patterns and modern frameworks like PyTest. Additionally, the candidate must be familiar with leveraging Generative AI technologies to accelerate automation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of test automation frameworks and strategies across various projects, with a focus on client-specific challenges.
- Implement and maintain scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation frameworks using Selenium (Python bindings) and PyTest.
- Define and enforce best practices for test design patterns such as Page Object Model, Data-Driven, and Keyword-Driven Testing.
- Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of automation with CI/CD pipelines.
- Leverage Generative AI technologies to fast-track the development of automated test suites, improving efficiency and coverage.
- Evaluate and recommend open-source automation tools based on project requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior team members and provide hands-on expertise when required.
- Stay flexible with work hours to align with global teams and client requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear understanding of the project’s test automation strategy, progress, and results.
- Provide thought leadership on the latest test automation tools, methodologies, and trends, especially in the e-commerce domain.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on designing frameworks and automating tests in different domains, especially e-commerce.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium (Python bindings) and the PyTest framework.
- Deep understanding of all test design patterns (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Behavior-Driven, etc.).
- Proven experience in leveraging Generative AI technologies to enhance and accelerate test automation.
- Experience in working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) and integrating automated tests.
- Expertise in various automation tools and frameworks, with a focus on open-source technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Flexibility with work hours to accommodate global clients and teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.
- Knowledge of API testing and tools like REST Assured.
