Job Summary
We are looking for a SAS ETL Expert with strong SQL expertise to support data integration and analytics initiatives. The role involves building scalable ETL pipelines that enable reporting, regulatory compliance, and business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using SAS (Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, etc.).
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and third-party data providers.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure high data quality and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and support reporting and analytics needs
- Implement and maintain data governance and audit controls aligned with domain.
- Optimize ETL performance and ensure scalability of data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across upstream and downstream systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and data mappings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAS ETL development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning).
- Experience with SAS tools such as Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, or SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience working with large relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Python for automation, data processing, or analytics.
- Familiarity with Tableau for dashboards and reporting.
- Understanding of insurance data models (Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Premiums, Losses), familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance (e.g., reporting, audit, data traceability) is good to have.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
