Requirements and responsibilities
What you'll do:
- The TechOps team is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of multi-platform telematics SaaS offering.
- The ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional with a successful track record of working in technical teams in a multi-disciplined technical environment.
- Within this role you will work with the TechOps Team to support the core infrastructure and with the IT infrastructure team to deliver project and required maintenance tasks.
- The role demands a good communicator able to converse with IT, network admins, technical developers, senior management, and other internal departments.
- Maintain in operational conditions the TechOps and IT infrastructures (version upgrades, migrations, patching)
- Assist help desk with escalation when required
- Ensure stability and availability of the operational environment
- Implement evolution of the platforms
- Maintain and operate the On-premises and Cloud Infrastructures.
- Research on new technologies and improvements for the infrastructures which can benefit the business.
- Respond to and resolve critical system issues in business hours
- Conduct post incident analysis to improve the quality of service.
- Follow Change Control procedures for production platforms and services.
- Adherence to Our ISO27001 certification standards: - Compliance with business policies and procedures - Handling and protection of information, reporting of security events and following and continuously improving operational procedures
- Documenting completed services and performing a handover to other departments for in-service delivery and support.
What you'll bring:
- Linux/Unix Operating Systems - Build/Config/Support (CentOS / Rocky Linux)
- Chef Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with Chef for configuration management and automation. Ability to write and manage Chef recipes and cookbooks.
- Experience of infrastructure: Physical Servers, VMware ESXI, SAN Storage.
- Windows Operating Systems – Build/Config/Support
- Windows Domain Management skills
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills
- Monitoring Solutions and Incident Resolution
- Practical understanding of Cloud architecture concepts, e.g. scaling, performance, security, integration & costs.
- Experience in at least one script development language (Chef, Terraform, PowerShell)
- Experience with Atlassian management technologies (i.e. Jira & Confluence)
- Fluent in English and French
Nice to have:
- Experience with other configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
