Requirements and responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled QA/Test Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional software experiences.

What you'll do:

• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, load, performance, API, SQL/NoSQL DB, and regression testing.
  
• Automate test scenarios using Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, and TestNG.
  
• Conduct API testing (RESTful APIs) to validate functionality and data integrity.
  
• Perform database testing (SQL and NoSQL databases) to verify data consistency.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and report defects.
  
• Document test results, track defects, and provide detailed reports.
  
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk assessment.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on QA/testing experience in software development projects.
  
• Proficiency in test automation using Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, and TestNG.
  
• Strong understanding of functional, load, performance, and regression testing.
  
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
  
• Must be able to attend customer meetings in their office at least 2 days a week.
  
• 4+ years of strong experience in Automation/white box testing using Java & Java based frameworks.
  
• Experience in testing and managing end to end project delivery.
  
• Strong programming exposure on Core Java and familiarity with OOPs concepts.
  
• Strong Database knowledge with ability to frame basic queries.
  
• Self-managed individual who can actively build the automation frameworks from scratch.
  
• Experience in designing high efficiency tests for scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications.
  
• Strong understanding of test design techniques (Boundary value Analysis and Equivalence partitioning).
  
• Proficient with software development Test lifecycle (STLC) methodologies.
  
• Must have strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills performance testing, load testing, API testing and SQL as well.
  
• Good to Have: exposure to AWS, BDD, and NoSQL database will be an added advantage.
