Job Description – Senior Software Engineer (MUMPS / InterSystems Cache)
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a team of enthusiastic professionals contributing to both product development and production support. In this role, you will work on building, enhancing, and supporting applications using MUMPS / InterSystems Cache, ensuring system stability, performance, and long-term value for our customers.
What You’ll Do.
- Perform support activities like troubleshooting production issues, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implementing permanent fixes and preventive solutions.
- Leverage AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude to improve development efficiency, code quality, and overall productivity.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a timely and effective manner to ensure smooth collaboration and issue resolution.
- Contribute to technical design, development for new features, and defect fixes.
- Demonstrate strong ownership of assigned work, including issue analysis, and supporting UAT and production releases.
- Ensure adherence to security, quality, and coding standards while fixing defects.
- Create and maintain documentation for fixes, RCA findings, and known issues, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Participate in on-call support as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with MUMPS / InterSystems Cache.
- Strong experience in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining MUMPS/InterSystems Cache ObjectScript and Cache Objects–based applications and databases.
- Proven ability to analyse production issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective fixes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with tools such as Cache Studio, Visual Studio Code, GitHub.
- Ability to balance development work with support responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools like Cursor/GitHub Copilot/Claude is a plus.

- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and support processes.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of accountability.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development, monitoring, or troubleshooting.
- Experience in Healthcare domain, production support environments, including incident management and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring, system stability, and preventive maintenance.
