Position Summary: 
Associate Director, Facilities Engineering will provide oversight for facilities engineering, maintenance and other facilities services associated with administrative areas as well as wet and dry laboratory areas for multiple sites. This role will manage the day-to-day activities of facility maintenance employees, vendors, and contractors involved in the repair and maintenance of facility infrastructure as well as long-term capital planning for critical equipment.
 
Core Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for building compliance and facilities management
  • Ensure compliance with all NeoGenomics quality, safety and security policies
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for facilities team members to ensure high performance and professional growth
  • Resolution of emergency issues as they arise
  • Contributes and may lead the design, planning, and project management for site construction and maintenance projects
  • Contributes to the planning and manages department expense budget
  • Active management of facilities technicians across the network.
  • Contributes and may oversee the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and facilities expansion.
  • Preventative and general maintenance of building infrastructure
  • Support EHS department with implementation and resolution of EHS / Compliance facility related issues. Active participant on EHS Safety Committee.
  • Assist in accomplishing organization’s efforts to meet or exceed department goals and plans
  • Recommend improvement practices to management
    Experience, Education and Qualifications: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, a related field or equivalent experience
    • 8 years previous facilities management experience in a supervisory capacity
    • 4+ years management
    • Advanced knowledge of building HVAC and electrical systems
    • Experience in a laboratory environment is required
    • IFMA Certified Facility Manager credential is preferred
    • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and manuals for facilities equipment repair and maintenance
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including potential off-duty calls
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, climb, perform manual tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must pass a color vision test
    • Commitment to following departmental safety guidelines and company protocols as outlined in the employee handbook
    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with employees, contractors, and vendors
    • Experience working with both technical and non-technical personnel

            Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $132,274 - $228,173

            In all instances, the salary paid will satisfy minimum salary laws.
