As a Staff Accountant-Revenue & Accounts Receivable at NeoGenomics Laboratories, you will play an integral part in the company by ensuring accurate accounting and analysis of certain revenue and Accounts Receivable accounts. We are looking for individuals with strong accounting, analytical and communication skills to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, analyze transactions and prepare reconciliations for moderately complex accounts, with focus on revenue and Accounts Receivable.
  • Prepare and submit monthly invoices to our Laboratory Collaboration Initiative (LCI) partners
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of billing information to LCI partners and perform collection activity on overdue accounts
  • Support in implementation, integration and maintenance of financial systems, reporting, procedures and controls.
  • Perform ongoing support for monthly and quarterly revenue recognition procedures, including but not limited to establishing and monitoring bad debt trends for individual payors.
  • Partner with the Senior Staff to address risks and opportunities related to Net AR. Provide necessary tools/metrics to show areas of concern.
  • Assist in the submission of the Audit requirements from Internal and External auditors.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

1+ years of relevant experience in Accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in general accounting.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Proficient in Excel with knowledge of and experience with Microsoft office products (Power Pivot knowledge a plus).
  • Experience using accounting ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
  • Understanding of laboratory billing systems (e.g., Telcor) is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
