ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Associate Director, you will partner closely with our Media Planning and Digital Investment teams to develop cross-media measurement, learning, and forecasting strategies. In this role, you will use your knowledge of Media Analytics, Data Visualization, and Relationship Management to develop recommendations and present actionable insights to our client.  The Associate Director is responsible for advising their team and clients on all aspects of measurement, data, and analytics as it pertains to media. The ideal candidate will be passionate about growing talent and continuously expanding their own skillset and nurturing that of their team!

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Be the primary resource for clients’ media measurement and research needs; establish measurement plans and strategies in partnership with media planning teams
  • Oversee development of analytical plans including proper selection of methodologies, techniques, KPIs and metrics
  • Lead various analytics projects and deliverables, including reporting/dashboards, testing, advanced analysis, primary research, and media attribution
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of analytics projects and deliverables, establishing best practices
  • Lead storytelling and insight generation; guiding team to develop actionable data driven insights
  • Ability to work independently to mine marketing database to uncover actionable insights and help tell the story of what is driving performance
  • Generate insightful visualizations and performance dashboards to depict data
  • Manage extraction of data sets from multiple marketing/database platforms and perform hygiene and quality control steps. Data sources may include: media analytics, web analytic tools, CRM, social listening tools, search tools, syndicated data, research & survey tools, etc.
  • Manages and grows internal and external client relationships to help guide Analytics engagements, ensuring ideas and final deliverables ladder back to client strategies
  • Partners with Media Planning and Digital Investment teams to evaluate vendors, technologies and new advertising opportunities; analyzes the measurement capabilities within each
  • Retains and nurtures talent by providing regular feedback and coaching to team members; realizes when the team needs improvements and acts accordingly

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 7+ years relevant working experience plus a track record of leading a team of Analysts and Managers
  • Ability to manage internal and external client relationships; ensuring deliverables are produced on time and within budget
  • Competency in analytics techniques such as: time series data analysis, MMM, segmentation, univariate & multivariate statistical analysis, various metrics and key performance indicators, research & test design, and significance testing
  • Knowledge and applied experience in integrated, multi-channel marketing/advertising campaign tactics – including off-line and online/digital channels. Demonstrated project and client management expertise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong presentation, deck-building, and writing skills
  • Experience with a variety of the following tools and platforms preferred:
    • Data Visualization - Tableau, Data Studio, PowerBI, etc
    • Web Analytics - Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics
    • AdServers - DoubleClick, Sizmek
    • Syndicated Measurement: comScore, Nielsen
    • Ad Effectiveness Research: comScore, Millward Brown Digital
    • Familiarity with SQL, R, Python a PLUS
