The role at a glance:
This is an excellent opportunity to join NBBJ Seattle as a Marketing Specialist. Working with Practice Marketing Directors, Marketing Managers and market leaders, you will create compelling qualifications, proposals and interview presentations; support lead generation and client development; and maintain accurate, accessible marketing content and data. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, collaborative communicator who thrives under tight deadlines, brings strong writing and graphic layout skills, and approaches every pursuit with strategic thinking and exceptional attention to detail.
In your new role:
Prospect Management
- Produce compelling qualifications, proposals and interview materials in InDesign, coordinating strategy, schedules, narratives, images, layouts and subconsultant content.
- Partner with Marketing Directors and Managers to apply best practices throughout prepositioning, proposal, shortlist, interview and post-pursuit activities.
- Keep pursuit content accurate, relevant and complete through active use of content management systems.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate thought leadership into lead generation and pursuit efforts.
Lead Generation & Client Development
- Develop and produce custom brochures, lead generation materials and client-facing collateral.
- Coordinate business development and market-focused client relationship meetings, including event logistics in partnership with Communications.
- Support market leaders with materials before and after client engagements and help strengthen a culture of proactive targeting and prepositioning.
- Provide regular updates in CRM and other marketing databases.
Data Management and Content Organization
- Use proposal and collaboration tools—including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams and MURAL—to support efficient, coordinated pursuits.
- Collect, enter and maintain accurate prospect, project and content data in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Deltek Vantagepoint and OpenAsset.
- Maintain a robust, current library of proposal narratives and reusable marketing materials.
- Update marketing workload and pursuit tracking tools.
What you will need to succeed:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including proposal development for a professional services firm; work samples or a portfolio may be requested.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; Figma experience is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of layout and graphic design principles, with excellent writing and editing skills.
- Exceptional project, time and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, OpenAsset, Dynamics 365 or similar databases is a plus.
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $75,000-$85,000/year. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
