The role at a glance
We are seeking a collaborative, action-oriented marketing manager to help regional practices grow through strategic pursuits, client development, market activation and disciplined practice operations.
Working with the Practice Marketing Director, Practice Leaders, Market Leaders and studio marketing teams, the Regional Marketing Manager translates business and go-to-market strategy into coordinated action. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution—from shaping priority pursuits and client plans to analyzing the pipeline, facilitating planning sessions and ensuring commitments move forward. The ideal candidate takes ownership, creates momentum and brings structure to complexity.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Pursuits + Seattle Marketing
- Lead priority pursuits from prepositioning through proposal, interview and debrief, translating client and competitive insights into differentiated positioning.
- Guide proposal teams and coach Marketing Coordinators and Specialists on strategy, storytelling, content and execution.
- Apply NBBJ’s Lead-to-Win methods and support Seattle leaders on priority marketing, client-development and go-to-market initiatives.
Market, Client + Go-to-Market Activation
- Lead pipeline and market reviews to identify priority prospects, emerging opportunities, gaps and next actions.
- Turn practice priorities into focused client and prospect activity through research, relationship mapping, touchpoint planning and follow-through.
- Coordinate client-engagement programs and surface cross-market opportunities, risks and needs to practice leadership.
Practice Operations + Business Intelligence
- Coordinate practice forums, planning activities, trackers and calendars that keep priorities visible and commitments moving.
- Champion consistent CRM use and data quality; help maintain dashboards and reporting for pipeline, prospects, client activity and Market Leader engagement.
Strategic Initiatives + Content
- Help implement initiatives involving new markets, geographies, services, key accounts and other practice priorities.
- Partner with Communications and the Practice Marketing Director to strengthen practice content and encourage adoption across the firm.
- Coordinate proof points, case studies, points of view and other client-facing materials, while creating structure around evolving initiatives.
What success looks like
- Own priorities independently, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Build trusted relationships and turn meetings, reporting and market intelligence into decisions and actions.
- Improve pursuit quality and strengthen proactive client development.
- Connect learning across studios and extend the Practice Marketing Director’s reach by independently owning key workstreams.
Qualifications
- Approximately 7–10 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably within architecture, design, professional services, consulting or another complex B2B environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic proposals, pursuits or other complex client-facing marketing efforts.
- Ability to translate business strategy into organized programs, actions and measurable outcomes.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and facilitating discussions across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical instincts and comfort working with CRM systems, dashboards, pipeline reporting and business development data.
- Ability to coach and guide Marketing Coordinators and Specialists while working collaboratively within a broader marketing team.
- Strong judgment, curiosity and an ability to distinguish what is urgent from what is strategically important.
- A collaborative, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with CRM platforms, Power BI, MURAL and related marketing and collaboration tools is beneficial.
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $110,000-$125,000/year. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
