Senior UI/ UX Designer
 
Summary of Role:    
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team and help us build cutting-edge enterprise level applications that are scalable, user-friendly and accessible.   As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing our user interfaces that are both visually appealing and highly functional that enable remote file access and collaboration for offices and remote/hybrid workers.  
 
Responsibilities:   
  • Collaboration with Product team to understand requirements and design intuitive, responsive and accessible user interfaces that meet the requirements.   
  • Model user flows, create wireframes, prototypes and final UI designs that meet the business goals.   
  • Eloquently present designs and concepts to engineering teams, product teams and other cross-functional departments.   
  • Create, maintain and contribute towards a consistent design system.   
  • Work closely with other UI/UX designers within the business to ensure consistency of approaches.   
  • Drive to ensure that the application meets best practice and industry standards around accessibility e.g. WCAG, to provide an inclusive experience for all users.  
  • Provide close mentoring and guidance to engineers to deliver great user experiences.   
  • Design web interfaces that work seamlessly across web, mobile and tablet devices.   
  • Create, maintain and perform end user based research testing to validate the best approaches.   
  • Continuously review, refine and optimize the end user experiences based on feedback, analytics, and best practices.   
  • Keep up to date with the latest design systems, best practices, tools and technologies.   
Experience Required:   
  • 4+ years of UI/UX design work with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.  
  • Strong proficiency in design tools, like Figma, including their design and prototyping capabilities.   
  • Demonstratable experience translating business goals into a UI/UX vision.  
  • Demonstratable experience working with both product management and engineers to translate visions and requirements into deliverables.   
  • Strong understand of UX principles including user research, personas, journey mapping, and usability testing.   
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the end user.   
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about user interactions and interface design.   
  • Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating delightful but efficient designs.  
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, and a solid understanding of agile methodologies.  
  • Deep understanding of web accessibility standards, in particular WCAG, and a track record of steering the implementation accessible web applications to achieve these goals.   
Beneficial Experience:   
  • Working with greenfield and brownfield development projects.   
  • Prior experience delivering enterprise application experiences.  
  • Prior experience working with enterprise file sync and share solutions.  
  • Non web-based previous design experience (e.g. desktop and mobile apps)   
  • Prior experience working with frontend applications powered by TypeScript, React and Tailwind CSS.
