As the Director of Operations- Partnerships and Liaison (Forensics/TN Department of Corrections) is responsible for developing and nurturing strategic partnerships with referring organizations, particularly the Tennessee Department of Corrections. This role focuses on increasing patient volume to the clinic, operating room (OR), and endoscopy department while ensuring seamless coordination between the correctional facilities and the hospital department for timely patient care and discharge. The Director serves as the primary liaison between the correctional facilities and the hospital, facilitating communication, resolving issues, and promoting collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Required (BSN) and must hold a TN BSN License. (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration, partnership development, or liaison roles, preferably in a healthcare setting serving correctional facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices related to patient care coordination and partnership management.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop data-driven strategies for volume growth and quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including decision-making, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Development:
  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the Tennessee Department of Corrections to foster partnerships and increase patient referrals to the clinic, OR, and endoscopy department.
  • Collaborate with correctional facility administrators, healthcare providers, and decision-makers to understand their needs, address concerns, and develop tailored solutions to meet patient care requirements.
2. Volume Growth:
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive patient volume from correctional facilities to the clinic, OR, and endoscopy department, in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Analyze referral patterns, patient demographics, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and expansion of services to correctional facilities.
3.  Liaison Role:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the correctional facilities and the hospital department, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration.
  • Facilitate the timely scheduling of patient appointments, procedures, and surgeries, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing wait times for patients.
4. Patient Care Coordination:
  • Work closely with healthcare teams across departments to coordinate patient care, including pre-operative assessments, procedures, inpatient stays, and post-discharge follow-up care.
  • Monitor and track patient progress, ensuring adherence to treatment plans, and addressing any barriers to care in collaboration with correctional facility staff.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies related to patient care, confidentiality, and documentation.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care processes and outcomes.
6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient volume, referral patterns, wait times, and patient satisfaction, providing regular reports and updates to hospital leadership.
  • Analyze data trends, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to address performance gaps and optimize operational efficiency.
