 Nashville General Hospital is looking to hire a Orthopedic LPN 
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Orthopedic Clinic. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting physicians and providers with the evaluation, treatment, and education of orthopedic patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the flexibility to support daily clinic operations, including rooming patients, performing clinical procedures, coordinating care, and assisting with patient flow. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. *This position works Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm*
As a LPN, you will: 
  • Assist the Clinic Manager in overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to clinical staff, including RNs and LPNs.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Potentially Lead team huddles and meetings, promoting communication and collaboration among the care team.
  • Perform clinical tasks as needed, including patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and other nursing procedures.
  • Engage patients and their families in care planning and decision-making, promoting self-management and shared decision-making.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, managing inventory, and ordering supplies.
  • Monitor clinical performance metrics and assist in implementing improvement initiatives.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:  
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an orthopedic, primary care, or specialty clinic.
  • Orthopedic clinic experience is strongly preferred, including experience with wound care, casting/splinting, and podiatry.
  • Knowledge of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) principles is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
