General Non-Invasive Cardiologist

As Nashville’s original community-based hospital, NGH is committed to improving the health of Nashville and Davidson County, including underserved populations. Our cardiovascular program includes general cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, advanced imaging cardiologists, and advanced practice providers, creating a collaborative environment for comprehensive cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular disease, and other cardiovascular disorders.
  • Perform and interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress testing, and other non-invasive cardiac studies.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and prevention plans.
  • Provide cardiovascular consultation, pre-operative risk assessment, and appropriate post-operative management.
  • Collaborate with primary care, hospitalists, emergency medicine, surgeons, nurses, APPs, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and cardiovascular program development.
  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular health, prevention, and disease management.
  • Participate in teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and APPs.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Completion of Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Two years of cardiovascular experience preferred; exceptionally trained new graduates will be considered.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and serving diverse and underserved populations.
