Receiving Clerk
Description
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accounting of supplies and equipment (except dietary and pharmaceutical products) shipped to and delivered to NGH. This position is responsible for confirming the correct catalog number, quantity and condition of items are appropriate. Items are to be counted and matched to the vendor shipping documents and checked for any damage prior to receiving items into the NGH Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Items are to be delivered to the hospital department that placed the order. This position is also responsible for the processing of outgoing shipments. This position is responsible for utilizing the management of information, records retention and use of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) .
Education: Must possess a high school education or equivalent (GED)
Licensure/Certification: None required.
Experience/Knowledge: Requires a minimum of two to five years of Receiving experience. Must posse the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written. Adjusts to and work with all types of individual personalities. Individual must have the demonstrated ability to make independent decisions in the best interest of NGH. Exhibit skills for planning, organizing, and completing work projects.
