Description
Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN), PACU in Nashville, Tennessee. We are offering up to a $10,000 sign on bonus.
Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for our PACU and Recovery Unit who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member.
As a PACU RN you will be responsible for:
- Properly maintains supplies, equipment, and PACU area.
- Performs assessment for the post anesthesia patient.
- Develop patient specific plans of care and implement prioritized interventions.
- Recognizes, reports, and documents changes in patient's health status and alerts appropriate nurse/physician od significant changes.
- Demonstrates capability of assessing neurological status, cardiac arrhythmias, and takes appropriate action.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility’s charting practices
- Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices
- Graduate of an accredited Associates degree required, Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
- Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS and ACLS is required.
- One year of experience in an acute care area is required.
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) preferred.
