IT Support & EDI Specialist
Description
Straight Arrow Products is looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support & EDI Specialist to join our team. This on-site, hybrid position is ideal for someone with a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in IT support, coupled with specialized knowledge of EDI systems. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our organization's EDI systems.
What you'll do
IT Support Responsibilities:
- Provide end-user support for hardware and software issues on PCs, Macs, tablets, smartphones, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts, security groups, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Set up and configure new workstations, laptops, and mobile devices for employees.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, patches, and backups to enhance security and reliability.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
- Assist in IT projects and collaborate with other departments on technology-related initiatives.
- Provide training and support to end-users on IT tools, software, and security best practices.
- Follow IT policies and procedures to maintain compliance and security standards.
EDI Specialist Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to internal users on EDI related issues.
- Expand and leverage additional features and functionality within the EDI platform.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot EDI systems. Ensuring smooth data exchange between business partners and internal systems.
- Analyze EDI transaction logs, identify errors, and work with internal teams and/or vendors to resolve issues.
- Create, maintain, and update EDI related documentation, including technical specifications, process workflows, and issue resolution procedures.
What you need to thrive in this role
- Minimum 3 years of IT support and EDI experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer programming, or related field.
- Proven experience with hardware platforms, including PCs, Macs, tablets, smartphones, printers, and peripherals.
- Demonstrated experience with EDI mapping and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, user account management, security groups, and GPOs.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices is desirable.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft IT, or EDI Professional certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAVISION or BC365 is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with end-users and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
