Business Development Associate
Description
What you’ll do
You’ll support prospecting, drive sales, and collaborate on growth opportunities while fostering lasting relationships with members, sponsors, and business partners. Each day will look a little different, but you can expect to do the following:
Sponsorship Fulfillment
- Coordinate contracts, invoicing, and creative asset collection
- Lead logistics for webinars and conferences
- Ensure sponsor and exhibitor packages are fulfilled smoothly
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Drive outreach efforts to generate interest in NACE offerings (advertising, webinars, educational programs)
- Manage sales pipelines and track deals using Smartsheet
- Research/qualify new leads and support pitch development
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with sponsors, advertisers, and exhibitors
- Serve as the primary contact for exhibitor support- fielding questions and troubleshooting issues
- Manage exhibitor platform and communications
Collaboration & Support
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, IT, and programming teams
- Lead Exhibit Hall operations at the annual conference
- Support the Senior Manager on strategic projects and outreach
What you need to thrive in this role
- 2-5 years of fundraising, sales, or customer service/account management experience
- Experience with associations or nonprofits is a plus!
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in multi-tasking, working independently, and strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Hands-on team player with a positive attitude and relationship-building skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, social networking sites, customer databases, scheduling tools, etc.
- Ability to travel about 10% of the time for our annual employee retreat, business development efforts, and our annual conference in June

- Salary in the range of $50,000-$55,000/year
