Early Childhood Education provides the educational, social, and emotional foundation for future learning, behavior, and health. Here at The Learning Center of Third Street Alliance for Women & Children in Easton, PA, our programs help to instill a love of learning and discovery at a young age.
We now have a Family Engagement Partner role available where you will have the opportunity to partner with families to create pathways for success for children. What you’ll do
As a Family Engagement Partner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our learners. Day to day you’ll:

- Partner with families to set goals to ensure a successful learning future for students
- Visit families in their homes to develop plans of action and goals
- Act as a mentor and community advocate, connecting families to community resources and facilitating relationships. Accompany families on community resources visits as needed providing families with the necessary resources for successful living
- Create specialized assistance for families of children at risk, and ensure all involved have clarity around goals
- Plan & organize monthly parent activities, encouraging participation from family members
- Coordinate parent committee meetings and gather parent input on future committee activities
- Assist families with the transition from PreK Counts to Kindergarten, helping with registration and tours
- Educate new families about the benefits of our Pre-K Counts classrooms & recruit new students to join
- Coordinate dental, vision and health screenings for children, partner with families needing further evaluation
- Cover classrooms for short breaks and/or unplanned teacher absences
- Organize and maintain student files in paper and electronic formats in accordance with DHS and Keystone STARS guidelines
- Greet children and families as they are dropped off and picked up
- Embrace additional duties with a can-do attitude
What you need to thrive in this role
Prior experience in family engagement and flexibility will be key to this role. Additional requirements include:
- Education: A degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education or related social services required
- Experience: 2+ years in family engagement or early childhood setting and experience working with diverse communities required
- Skills required: A positive attitude, patience, compassion, organizational skills, and attention to detail are a must! As are: MS Office experience, excellent communication skills, and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
- Location: We are located at 41 North 3rd Street in Easton, PA, you’ll spend a portion of your time here in our office and the remainder in the community. A personal vehicle will be needed for working in the community (mileage reimbursement available)
- Schedule: Primarily the schedule will be 8:00a-4:30p, however, we will need some flexibility with this role
