Adult Day Service Center Nurse (Temporary, Part-Time) 
The Adult Day Service Center Nurse (temporary, part-time) will address all medical inquires and serve as the primary source for medical related information.  The nurse is responsible for the development of the Client Care Plan and all medical related documentation. This position also provides training and continuing education to staff and volunteers per regs quarterly for infection control and other trainings as needed. What you’ll do
As our Adult Day Service Center Nurse, you will play a vital role in assisting and monitoring the residents. Day-to-day you’ll:
  • To document and maintain client files via medical related notes, plans and updates. 
  • To document monthly client progress notes and other relevant entries.
  • To complete and send quarterly summaries on all clients.
  • To make phone calls to caregivers, when unable to meet with caregivers in person, about care plans and document that telephone calls were made.
  • To dispense and maintain medication documentation.
  • To maintain inventory of all medical supplies.
  • To monitor the care and use of medical equipment
  • To provide quarterly Infection Control Training
  • To monitor monthly blood pressure and weights for cli   To train staff and clients on medications being administered at the center, including their side effects.
  • To provide training to staff and volunteers on medical related topics
  • To understand and communicate the Adult Day Services philosophy within the facility and community.
  • To communicate appropriately with staff, caregivers, and clients.
  • To serve as an integral member of the program staff.
  • To assist staff in performing client care including assistance with feeding, assistance in the bathroom, personal hygiene and grooming as directed in client care plan.
  • To perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Will serve as primary party responsible for all medical emergencies when on site.
 
What you need to thrive in this role
  • A valid State of Pennsylvania Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License required. 
  • Current or prior experience working with aging adults and adults with development disabilities required 
  • Must be Medication, First Aid and CPR certified (within 3 months of hire) 
  • Ability to work as a team member and with people of diverse backgrounds 
  • Proven leadership ability 
  • Be able to provide compassionate care with an emphasis on the resident’s experience 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills 
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information 
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check, child-line clearance, drug screen, and physical 
  • Successfully complete annual trainings
