About the role
The Sr. Director, Field Human Resources at MyEyeDr. leads a team of HR Business Partners and is responsible for the administration of HR programs across our field organization. You will contribute to the development of people strategies while overseeing all day-to-day HR activities for our operations and clinical leaders, associates, and optometrists in the field. This includes initiatives to attract, grow and develop, reward, enable and connect, and engage and retain our talented team members across the country.
Reporting to the SVP Human Resources and working closely with peers on the HR leadership team, you will partner closely with many cross-functional leaders, including but not limited to the Regional Vice Presidents of Operations, VP Field Operations; and VP, Professional Services.
You Will
- Partner with key stakeholders and leadership to develop and implement HR practices that are aligned with MyEyeDr. business objectives.
- Provide strategic thought partnership to address human capital issues affecting Office operations and the field organization.
- Develop strategies and tactics to ensure the organization has the necessary talent to meet growth objectives.
- Advise on the execution of organizational change initiatives, assessing the people implications of various strategies.
- Consult and partner with business and people leaders to engage, lead and manage organizational effectiveness and implement initiatives .
- Ensure business processes and tools are in place to enhance HR operational efficiency.
- Stay current on all legislative changes impacting their offices and ensure the appropriate change management tactics are in place as best practices or policies are implemented.
- Provide leadership on all aspects of organizational effectiveness, including performance management, on-boarding, coaching, employee relations, talent assessment, employee relations, culture and engagement for their offices.
- Identify and implement strategies which improve employee engagement year over year, as measured through listening processes and analysis of HR metrics.
- Work with leaders and HR team to look at adverse trends in turnover then develops and executes retention strategies to promote organizational stability and ensure a healthy work environment.
- Lead and develop a team of regional HR business partners, compliance and employee relations staff to support effective execution of all objectives and enable professional development and career growth for team members.
- Ensure that all people programs, processes, and policies adopted are effectively sustained across the field organization.
- Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, rewards, performance management, and employee relations.
- Investigate, in partnership with operations and clinical leaders and HR’s employee relations function, associate and doctor concerns. As appropriate, you will provide updates to key executives, including the Chief Executive Officer as needed.
- Champion and personally demonstrate MyEyeDr. culture, values, and ethics.
About You
- 10+ years of Human Resources experience in a high growth organization.
- 8+ years of HR leadership in a retail environment.
- Experience working with dispersed/complex client groups across multiple states.
- Experience providing consultative support for executives and People Teams, translating business goals into solutions.
- Strong understanding of the importance of data integrity and reliability, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
- Track record of solving complex organizational talent related challenges with a strong talent assessment and skill capability to help others grow their teams.
- Demonstrated agility and leadership in change management organization.
- Demonstrated experience handling confidential information and critical business processes.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve, and clearly communicate observations and recommendations.
- Executive presence with a business mindset.
- A track record of developing and managing a successful, high-performing team.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- HR Certifications preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
