Summary:
The System Educator/Coordinator of Patient Financial Services (SEC-PFS) plays a crucial role supporting the daily operational needs of the Revenue Cycle. The (SEC-PFS) provides expertise to staff across the entire Munson Healthcare system to assist with accurate billing, cash posting, and/or customer service needs. Serves as a resource for both clinical and financial management staff to obtain information or clarification on accurate and ethical billing requirements.
Responsible for daily monitoring of work queues. Coordinates work assignments and manages schedules for PFS teams. Identifies workflow issues and troubleshoots to meet PFS Departmental KPI goals.
Acts as the departmental liaison to the activities in the billing and reimbursement process.
The SEC-PFS works closely with various clinical, financial, and revenue cycle department managers. There is direct contact with other hospitals/facilities to assist with billing, cash posting, and customer service concerns. Works closely with the Charge Master team to develop new charges for new technology/procedures.

What’s Required:
- Bachelor Degree in Health Services Administration or Business related field. In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to a candidate with 5 years’ revenue cycle experience.
- Five years of leadership experience specific to discipline.
- Management or other leadership experience is preferred.
- Exemplary customer relation skills and proven ability to communicate effectively and accurately, verbally and in writing with all levels.
- Demonstrated ability in working and problem solving with hospital medical staff, clinical and financial department staff is required.
