What the Position Involves
- A Healthcare Educator at Munson Healthcare is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating an organized program for clinical education directed toward the achievement of professional excellence. The Healthcare Educator uses experience, skills, and knowledge to create professional education resources and instructional leadership for health care professionals. The Healthcare Educator functions as a team member to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.
What’s Required
Education & Licensure
- RN license in the State of Michigan, in good standing.
- Master’s degree in nursing or education required; OR bachelor’s degree in clinical nursing or related field with 4+ years of education or unit leadership experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in education, curriculum development, and adult learning.
- Experience leading change and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
Certifications
- Current BLS required; BLS instructor license preferred.
- Must obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification within 1 year.
Other Requirements
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Must be able to travel 50–75% within northern Michigan. Valid Michigan driver’s license required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
