Shift: 3:00 pm to 1:00 am Monday through Thursday
 
Pay: $17-$19 per hour
 
Summary:  This position is responsible for learning the “art” of manually hand filling high quality silicone sealing gaskets for our customers stock and special orders.  To be responsible for loading raw silicon, trimming, tagging of a sealing gasket.  Determine priorities and workloads daily to keep up with customer demand. 
 
Time Utilization: Second shift business hours are 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM.  Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customers’ schedules. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:
 
  • Hand filling high quality silicone into gasket molds on the Press.
 
  • Trim excess material from gaskets once ran on the Press.
 
  • Process each production order with a goods issue and a time confirmation as they are being produced, verifying accurate times and accurate material consumption.
 
  • Quality control inspection of all Multivac gaskets produced and accurately trimming to Multivac standards.  
 
  • Pull and put away gasket molds.
 
  • Print production orders.
 
  • Load the oven and tag gaskets.
 
  • Keep work area clean and swept each night.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to six months production/manufacturing experience preferred.
 
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the organization.
 
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
 
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; ERP system; Order processing systems; Internet software and Manufacturing software.
 
Certificates and Licenses:
Current valid driver’s.

This job has no supervisory responsibly.
