Summary: Ensures ISO 9001 compliance. Drives process optimization projects to improve workflow and reduce costs. Supports the Safety Engineer with investigating employee safety incidents. Has a strong drive to learn and grow in a collaborative environment with a desire to lead peers towards QMS adherence. Recommends positive changes to the QMS.

 

Time Utilization:  Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Up to 10% travel schedule possible and needs to be flexible to accommodate special projects and customer schedules. After-hours support may be required on a limited basis.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

1.    Interfaces with stakeholders on a technical level and manages outcomes for quality incidents. Provides follow up to the QSC group by verifying CAPA adherence and effectiveness, and formally summarizing and reporting results to the QSC Manager.

 

2.    Responsible for authoring and/or maintaining updated customer requested compliance documentations in support of MUUS’s food contact film packaging business.

 

3.    Participates in ISO 9001 3rd party audits and is responsible for helping maintain audit readiness of the MUUS facilities.

 

4.    Conducts quality related program inspections and internal audits, summarizes key findings, and develops and presents recommendations for CAPA.

 

5.    Investigates customer facing quality incidents and provides timely responses back to Multivac’s customers. Utilizes RCA to determine root cause of safety and/or quality issues. Implements CAPA to minimize or eliminate repeat errors.

 

6.    Develops, revises, and/or authors management procedures to maintain best practices consistent with regulations compliance and company policies. Maintains required records and prepares reports supporting corporate quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

 

7.    Collaborates with the MUUS Safety Engineer to support the organization, coordination, and execution of emergency action plans.

 

8.    Collaborates with customers and MULTIVAC engineering and production facilities around the world to ensure regulatory and standards compliance; including, but not limited to, adherence to technical specifications and safety regulations.


Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 3 years of experience in a quality audit or quality management role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong technical aptitude, including the ability to quickly and efficiently learn applications, systems, policies and procedures.

Working knowledge of SAP, CRM, QMS, and project systems, procedures, and structure is preferred.

Ideally knowledgeable regarding ISO 9001, BRC/BRCGS, EPA, OSHA, QMS elements, food packaging regulations, federal and state safety regulations; FSMA, OSHA, ISO, et. al. auditing experiences and/or certifications in these knowledge areas are  preferred

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge and experience with ERP and MRP systems required. SAP experience preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:
Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel.
