As the HR Director for the LATAM business vertical, you will be a strategic and proactive thought leader to the Vice President of Operations, providing direction, and consultation, helping to determine and prioritize the HR agenda. You will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with Multi-Color’s business objectives for the Americas Region. You and your team will partner with leadership and management across various locations to deliver proactive and consistent HR support and guidance, ensuring that our HR initiatives drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence across all facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • High-level consulting, problem diagnosis, and solution development in support of business goals and objectives. Leveraging data analytics, provides insights through deep understanding of business strategies and drivers that support business performance.
  • Drive the organization and HR Business Partner team towards a culture of excellence, prepares leaders and teams to embrace organizational change, and collaborates with HR and business leaders to ensure teammates feel engaged and inspired to deliver business results in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Act as a catalyst for sustained business performance and ensure that HR strategies and plans are translated into concrete actions and tangible results that are tailored to the needs of the respective business vertical, its plants, leaders and employees
  • Design, support, and implement new or revised organizational designs as needed to deliver business results, drive role clarity, capability building and effectiveness
  • Develop organization-specific people and workforce plans and roadmaps to align the workforce with business needs and leads their implementation. Drives the execution of strategies to attract, engage and retain world class talent required to support business growth
  • Address complex employee relations issues within the business environment by assessing the situation, identifying root cause and providing effective and proactive resolution to increase alignment with company vision, goals and related employment laws and practices. Coach, counsel and recommend solutions to managers and employees concerning employee relations issues. Analyze the facts and recommend appropriate action.
  • Partner with internal Centers of Excellence (COE): Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Organizational Development, Total Rewards, HR Technology and Environmental, Health and Safety, etc.
  • Leader confidant, able to coach our people leaders on complex and sensitive people challenges.
  • Executes a number of ‘business as usual’ HR activities in the business, such as: headcount / personnel costs, training plans, talent management, performance management, pay and incentive planning. Partnering with our internal HR partners and navigating the timely execution of these activities are key.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and Company cross-functional teams to ensure our processes are streamlined and meet expectations. Monitor internal trends as well as practices of other companies to make recommendations to management to ensure the Company remains competitive and is able to attract/retain qualified teammates.
  • Seeks out pragmatic solutions, involving a degree of subjectivity and where views may differ, between HR and the business.
  • Leads HR projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College; and 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training in Manufacturing. Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SCP certified and/or Master’s degree in related field.

  • Fully Bilingual English / Spanish, Portuguese (desirable)

  • Able to deliver / execute based on a variety of timelines, high-level ability to proactively know when to pivot and (re)prioritize as needed. Flexibility and adaptiveness, in pressurized and non-pressurized situations.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and recognize when to apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficient time-management skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
